What Is Excavation?
Excavation is the process of digging to establish a new grade for building footings, sheds, or driveways. Sometimes we need to strip topsoil, remove poor soils, or remove foundations, structures, and rock in order to reach a subgrade firm enough to build on. We can also reshape the land to create water runoff by digging ditches—or grading with proper slope to shed the water. At Brinkmann, we perform site excavations for small projects such as:
- Driveways
- Patios
- Shed pads
- Home additions
- Retaining walls
- Ditches and swales
What Is Concrete Demolition?
During demolition, we break up concrete—whether it’s reinforced or not. We load and haul the material to a recycling site that crushes and repurposes it into a gravel base. Any debris is then taken to a landfill. Brinkmann can help demo:
- Inground pools
- Concrete or asphalt driveways
- Retaining walls
- Small sheds or structures
